Methane is a very simple Hydrocarbon which consists of four hydrogen atoms and a single carbon atom

All parts of a simple Hydrocarbon ,like Methane, can easily be reached by Oxygen

Because the oxygen combines so readily with Methane it burns almost completely and leaves very little to no polution

Diesel and gasoline hydrocarbons tend to curl and resembles the image.

These Hydrocarbons tend to start bundeling up with one another and creates clusters.

With the hydrocarbons bundeling, the Oxygen cannot reach all of the fuel.
